The Fender® Telecaster® is the first known model of electric guitar designed in 1950 by Leo Fender and introduced as the Broadcaster. The Fender® Musical Instruments Corporation has continuously manufactured the Telecaster® from 1950 to the present.

It is a solid body electric guitar known for it's bright, rich cutting tone.
